This hoop skirt is suitable for the 1850's and 1860's and gives a lovely shape to a full skirted dress. It has six hoops and is eliptical in shape, ideally a dress should be app.3" to 4" longer at the back than the front to go over this.

Our latest project was to make a pair of 1830/40's style trousers. These have a drop down flap front rather than a fly fastening. The check material makes a very dandy pair of trousers.
These can be custom made at £75 plus material, you can either go for a plaid or a plain fabric if you prefer.

We were recently asked to custom make child size replicas of the coats worn by Greenwich Naval pensioners, for use by a theatre company at Greenwich Museum.
The blue coat ws everyday wear, but the custard yellow and red was the "naughty" coat.
If you misbehaved, eg were drunk, you had to wear that for the day.
This was an interesting project as all we had to go on were some paintings of the pensioners. The pattern had to be designed and drawn up before we could embark on making the coats.
Clients were so satisfied with them that we were asked to make another two.
